swing justice

i really had no idea that my vote was this important. for the record, i was under the impression that i HAD voted, but i guess i messed up my secret letter. or was my comment deleted? intrigue. not to ruin everyone's day at work, but...

6x6 is fine with me. hitting option #2, pitching #1 (inning cap) does this mean that wins?

not having Wins is a fine idea and all, but it seems to negate having starting pitching. and starting pitchers are pretty important for baseball.

who knew this building existed? i didn't. i feel like we could have spent a WEEK talking about it in any of the urbanism classes i took. mike davis dead cities, where are you on this one?

OK, so all we have to do is settle pitching, right? if we can have a runoff or something (same two options?) to decide? because maybe someone who would have voted differently if they knew it would be deadlocked would change their mind? (take that for whatever it's worth). I'm as eager as everyone else to just stop kicking the dead horse here.

i was so close to not checking this till tomorrow but i think the episode of house i just saw drew me closer. so andy just deadlocked the pitching category. isnt that what the 5x5 was for? even if i jumped the gun (the premise of which i dont agree with) in the end it is deadlocked. if we do end up having a runoff vote i won't quit over it but regardless of how you thought the 5x5 voting should have came into play, its a viable option now. we can choose to disregard it and have a runoff vote (i.e. a vote whereby whoever makes the most noise swings someone to their side) but wasn't the 5x5 compromise supposed to stop that from happening? or did i not understand the rules as they were consistuted so eloquently 3-4 hours ago.
