Have you not seen him in one of his natural roles? For me, it kinda makes sense once you hear him. The real mind fuck is when you hear Stinger Bell in all of his Anglo glory.
On OnDemand there are a few featurettes about the new season, and West is interviewed in one. It really jarred the hell out of me.
I'm not sure I've seen him in anything other than "300," and I don't really want to think about that movie too much.
